Please be sure to shower before entering the sauna. You should bring two towels with you; one to sit on, another to dry yourself with. Bring plenty of water to drink.
Do ensure that any swimwear has no metal fasteners as these will get very hot. Likewise metal jewellery.
Don’t forget your flip flops!
Communal sauna guests will need to wear swimwear whilst using the sauna.
Private hire guests: if you and your group wish, you are welcome to sauna in the traditional way. However, you will need to cover up outside as our sauna is on a public beach. This could be with a hammam towel that you don’t mind getting wet.
Please be sure to sit on a towel at all times in the sauna.
Although we do have a small changing tent on site with room for two people, please consider arriving already wearing your swimsuit (if required) and preparing to change on the beach. If you would like to make use of the changing tent, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your booking to avoid queueing.
Some drinking water is available, but be sure to bring plenty of your own with you. Watering can showers will be available to use between sauna rounds.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the security of any valuables left for safekeeping.
The sauna can reach 85ºC or higher. Humidity (and perceived heat) is varied in the sauna by pouring water over the rocks to create steam.
We recommend cooling off outside between rounds by using our watering can showers, or, ideally, by jumping into the sea (if conditions allow).
Yes they can, children from the age of five are welcome. Those under 16 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult.
